In Star Citizen the “Pyro Must Burn” story arc has ended and “Frontier Fighters Finale” has arrived. It introduced two separated factions – Citizens for Prosperity (CFP) and Headhunters - against the rogue group Frontier Fighters. You have to choose a side and complete mission phases to earn contribution points and faction rewards. Out of all the 3 stages Phase 2 (Siege) is the most intense one. It focuses on disturbing the enemy’s regeneration capabilities and engaging in direct combat.
This guide will give you an idea about how you can speedrun Phase 2 and everything you need to know to do that. Before starting your journey try to stock up on Star Citizen aUEC so that you don’t get stuck in between any stages.
Understanding Phase 2
Phase 2 is known as the “Siege” stage of the Frontier Fighters Finale. It increases the intensity after the Phase 1 missions. Both factions issue contracts to disable the Frontier Fighters’ regeneration abilities and destroy their key facilities.
You will have to complete mission objectives like ruining medgel recharge stations, ambushing frontier fighters, and destroying regeneration facilities. You can attack both in space and on ground according to your preference. If you have completed Phase 1 then you should know that Phase 2 is much more intense. You will need to execute your strategies very precisely and manage time smartly.

Choosing a Faction and Setting Up Strategy
First you have to select a faction. You can complete missions for both sides if you want to, but if you stick to one faction then you can maximize your progress and unlock your chosen reward faster. Each week you will get a set number of missions for each faction and the total contribution required to unlock the reward is limited to that phase. The points you have earned in Phase 1 or Phase 3 will not be carried over so try to focus fully on Phase 2 contracts.
Another important thing is location. Missions spawn in both the Stanton and Pyro systems. But if you want faster runs then choose Stanton because those missions have shorter travel times, more stable servers, and less number of random encounters.
While you are preparing for the missions try to align your loadout with your chosen environment. If you choose space combat then pick agile ships with good missile capacity and countermeasures. You can even buy Star Citizen Ships to get an advantage. If you choose ground missions then pick light armor, fast weapons, and efficient medical gear.
Mission Types and Speedrun Focus
Ship Ambush Missions
These are the most straightforward and also the most rewarding missions. You have to intercept enemy ships or convoys and eliminate key targets. The 3 types of ships that you will encounter are:
- Light Fighter Ambush: Moderate payout, low travel time.
- Missile Bird Takedown: Mid-range mission with higher danger but great points.
- Cutlass Black Ambush: High payout and top contribution value.
For eliminating the Cutlass Black you will get 71,000 aUEC contracts and 100 points in total. The smaller ships (Light Fighter - 24000 aUEC/50 points and Missile Bird - 44000 aUEC/75 points) are faster but you will get lesser points per hour.
Ground Sabotage Missions
In these missions you mainly have to destroy MedGel recharge stations, underground facilities, and regeneration units. These also have similar points but you will need more tactical FPS skills.
For the quickest approach you should use explosives so that you can eliminate many targets at once. Ground facilities usually have a very open layout so you have to keep moving at all times. Underground complexes are even more complicated because you have to move vertically and be aware of tight corners.
Speedrun Execution Steps
- Start in Stanton. This reduces travel time and loading issues because it has a more stable server.
- Accept a high-value 71000 aUEC/100 point mission for your faction.
- For ship missions carry chaff, torpedoes, and high shield capacity. For FPS missions carry light gear and explosives.
- Complete the mission and exit as fast you can to avoid unnecessary fights.
- Once you return from the mission, repeat it immediately. This way you can minimize the downtime between missions and get rewards faster.
- Track the total contribution points you earn to make progress faster.

Reward Progression and Phase Completion
The main reward in Phase 2 is Greycat MTC vehicle livery. To unlock it you will need 1,750 contribution points before Phase 2 ends.
The game only tracks progress during the active phase window. This means you have to complete all missions within the Phase 2 time period. If you finish all missions before the end of Phase 2 then you can farm for extra rewards or prepare for Phase 3. Try to complete only those missions that are necessary to get the reward. Then start preparing for the Take Down stage. This is because the earlier you finish Phase 2 the less you will have to compete for mission spawns and the smoother your speedrun will go.
Advanced Speedrun Techniques
- Chain Missions Efficiently: As soon as you complete one mission accept the next one before returning to your base. This will minimize your dead time.
- Use Group Play: When you coordinate with a friend or small squad you can divide the roles. One can handle navigation and the other can handle combat. This will reduce the time for each mission by a lot.
- Learn Spawn Patterns: Many ambush missions have predictable spawn regions. When you memorize them you can position your ship accordingly and get an advantage.
- Avoid Over-Repair: You can take a little bit of damage if you are doing it for saving time. Try to repair only when you don’t have any other option.
- Keep an Eye on Weekly Resets: Each event phase runs on a weekly schedule. Complete your targets before the server resets to ensure progress is saved.
Conclusion
In short, focus on fast missions, choose Stanton for stability, and pick ships or gear that match your playstyle. Keep repeating quick missions, avoid delays, and you can easily complete Star Citizen Phase 2 and unlock your rewards on time.
